Trident Oil Seed Radish

  • Trident is a supreme oil radish variety with three nematode resistances: Meloidogyne hapla (Northern root-knot cyst), Heteroderaschachtii (beet cyst), and Meloidogyne chitwoodi (Columbia root cyst). This is why it is a good choice for nematode control in intensive crop rotations with potatoes, sugar beets, and other vegetables.
  • Trident Oil Seed Radish releases a biochemical from its roots that stimulate nematode eggs to hatch. The nematodes then attach to the radish root but are unable to be adequately fed, and because of poor nutrition, they either die or will not reproduce.
  • This variety shows quick development, which leads to the suppressing of weeds.
  • Additionally, this radish variety offers fibrous roots and a delayed flowering date.
